Advanced Field Conductor Development (AFCD)

The Advanced Field Conductor Development (AFCD) programme is designed to meet the manpower demand from the planting industry. It provides an opportunity to field conductor to attend series of plantation management course in preparation for employment in the industry. The intensive programme provides theoretical and practical knowledge of plantation management. This programme is targeted at field conductor level.


ENTRY REQUIREMENT:

•   Field conductor with at least three years working experiences.

PROGRAMMER STRUCTURE

The minimum duration of study is one year and the programme will be conducted on part time basis. Students are expected to completed one module per month.

COURSE STRUCTURE

CORE MODULES

Module 1 : Communication English
Module 2 : Basic Plantation Accounting
Module 3 : Fundamental of Soil Science
Module 4 : Fundamental of Crop Science
Module 5 : Mechanization of Estate Operation
Module 6 : Pests and Diseases
Module 7 : Fundamental of Plantation Management

ELECTIVE MODULES

Module 8 : ICT in Plantation
Module 9 : Industrial Relation
Module 10: Nursery and Landscape Management
*Note - Candidates are required to take seven (7) core modules and three (3) electives.


ATTENDANCE AND CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of Advanced Field Conductor Development Programme (AFCD) programme student will receive the CPIM and for those who are just attending the AFCD programme, will receive the certificate of Attendance for AFCD.

EDUCATION PATHWAY

Upon completion for those student who had passed the CPIM programme may proceed to EDPTM.

COURSE FEE

The programme fee is RM8,000 per module in Peninsular and RM10,000 per module for Sabah and Sarawak.

*Note - The above fee is excluding the accommodation cost, logistic cost and convocation ceremony. Maximum participant is 30 students and price is subject to change without prior notice.

The directors and managers who have the power and responsibility to make decisions to manage an enterprise.The size of plantation management can range from one person in a small organization to hundreds or thousands of managers in plantation management multinational companies. In large organizations the board of directors formulates the policy which is then implemented by the chief executive officer. Some business analysts and financiers accord the highest importance to the quality and experience of the managers in plantation management evaluating an organizations current and future worth.
