Associate Diploma in Plantation Technology and Management (ADPTM)

The Associate Diploma in Plantation Management (ADPTM) is a linking programme that provides a general background to plantation management. The core subjects in this programme are estate management, plant production, engineering and soil management integrated with the principles of management and planting systems.

ADPTM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Individuals who have any one of these qualifications are eligible to enrol in this programme:
•   SPM/SPMV with minimum three credit and five years of working experience in the field; or
•   STPM with minimum two principle and two years working experience; or
•   Certificate in Planting Industry Management IIPM; or
•   Degree and Diploma for any discipline accredited by Malaysian Qualification Agency.

Module 3 : Weed and Pests Management
Module 4 : Land Surveying
Module 5 : Post Harvest Technology
Module 6 : Human Resource Management and OSHA
Module 7 : Fundamental of Management
Module 8 : Estate Accounting and Finance
Module 9 : Information Communication Technology in Plantation

ELECTIVE MODULES

Module 10 : Social Development in FELDA
Module 11 : Entrepreneurship
Module 12 : Group Settlement Act (GSA) 1960
Module 13 : Nursery and Landscape Management
Module 14 : Mechanization in Plantation
Module 15 : Agriculture Economics
Module 16 : The Land Act

*Note - Candidates are required to take nine (9) core modules and four (4) electives.

EDUCATION PATHWAY

Upon completion of ADPTM, the successful candidate is eligible to pursue the Professional Qualifying Examination in Planting Industry Management.


COURSE FEE

The course fee for the programme is RM10,500 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM12,500 in Sabah and Sarawak.

The directors and managers who have the power and responsibility to make decisions to manage an enterprise.The size of plantation management can range from one person in a small organization to hundreds or thousands of managers in plantation management multinational companies. In large organizations the board of directors formulates the policy which is then implemented by the chief executive officer.
